DETECTIVE MURDOKU
- Tu progreso: qué casos has abierto, cómo tienes el tablero, el cronómetro, cuáles has resuelto y qué pistas has abierto.

DETECTIVE MURDOKU
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 September 2026
Detective Murdoku asks you for nothing and keeps nothing of yours on any server. There is no sign-up, no account and no password. Your game lives on your phone.
This page explains the little that happens anyway, because the app shows adverts and can receive new content, and that involves third parties.
What is stored on your phone
The app stores the following in your device's local storage:
- Your progress: which cases you have opened, how your board stands, the clock, which ones you have solved and which hints you have opened.
- An advertising counter: how many cases you have solved since the last advert, so that you are not shown another too soon.
None of this leaves your device and none of it reaches the developer. It is deleted when you uninstall the app.
If Android backup is switched on, the system may include this data in the backup held in your own Google Drive account, as it does for other apps. That backup is yours and the developer has no access to it. You can turn it off in your phone's settings.
Advertising
The app is free and is funded by Google AdMob advertising. There are two kinds and neither appears while you are playing:
- A full-screen advert on leaving a case you have just solved, once in a while.
- An advert you choose to watch in exchange for opening a hint.
To serve them, Google may collect and process data from your device, such as the advertising identifier, IP address and app usage data, for ad selection and measurement. The developer does not receive that information and sees only aggregate statistics of how many adverts were shown.
You can read how Google handles that data in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Your consent
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, consent is requested the first time you open the app, through Google's User Messaging Platform. You can change that decision at any time from No ads → Privacy options inside the app.
You can also reset or switch off the advertising identifier from your phone's settings, under privacy or Google.
The purchase that removes adverts
The app offers a single payment that removes advertising and opens every hint. The payment is handled by Google Play: the developer never sees your card or your payment details.
To remember that you have bought it, the app uses RevenueCat, which assigns an anonymous identifier to the installation and stores the purchase state along with technical device data. It is not linked to your name or your email, because the app does not know them.
See the RevenueCat privacy policy.
New cases and improvements
The app occasionally checks for new content — cases, text or fixes — through Expo's update service (EAS Update). During that check its servers receive technical data such as the IP address, the platform and the installed version. Nothing from your game is sent.
See the Expo privacy policy.
Children
Detective Murdoku is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights
As the developer holds no personal data of yours, there is nothing on their side to hand over, correct or delete. For what the third parties above process, you can:
- Withdraw or change your advertising consent from within the app.
- Reset or delete your advertising identifier in your phone's settings.
- Exercise your rights with Google, RevenueCat or Expo through their respective policies.
- Uninstall the app, which removes everything it stored from the device.
Changes
If this policy changes, this page will be updated and the date in the heading with it.
